PSYCH-OUT! GO EXTREME: Rollerball / Sallows Helte

In connection with the exhibition GO EXTREME, Cinemateket presents two cult films with extreme sports as the focal point: Rollerball and The Blood of Heroes. In the films, you'll experience two futuristic concepts of extreme sports: In Rollerball's battle arena, gladiators in roller skates and leather gloves with rivets knock life out of each other in a rush of high speed, blood and gasoline, while The Blood of Heroes offer epic rugby games in a post-apocalyptic future. Artist Søren Thilo Funder, who has created two works for GO EXTREME and GO EXTREME-project manager Peter Ole Pedersen introduces the films and talks about visions of the future and the extreme sports fiction's wild, critical and sensory universes.
