Bring your friends to a cozy evening in the spirit of poetry, where the word and the community will be put in focus💥

On Thursday, we invite you to a book reception in connection with the newly translated poetry collections, 'Den vinter ulven kom & Denne forbindelse mellem alle med lunger', written by the poet Juliana Spahr. It is possible to buy the poems at a special price for the event.

During the reception, the Danish translator Mathias Ruthner will put into words his experience with the poems and together with the artist, Signe Cygan, will read a section of the poem collections.

Our café will be open both before and after the reception, and on the occasion of the event will offer a special reception menu, consisting of a homemade vegetarian meal and organic wine.
Food and drinks may not be brought into the galleries.

At 4 pm there is a free guided tour in Danish in our current exhibition. The meeting point is our café, where our guide Hanna Gerda Brøndal will be present. Enjoy a day at Kunsthal Aarhus with exciting experiences.

Biography
Juliana Spahr is a leading American poet who has helped shape and revive political and ecological poetry over the past 10 years. She writes at the crossroads between politics and poetics. She writes about oil spills, tanks, rebellion and counter-insurgency as well as botany, love and motherhood. This applies in particular to the collections of poems ‘Denne forbindelse mellem alle med lunger’ and ‘Den vinter ulven kom’, which were respectively written in the aftermath of the US invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq and the Occupy Wall Street riots in Oakland.
