Christmas Cinema: Gremlins

This December, we’re making Kunsthal Aarhus extra cosy. For two days, Gallery 1 will be transformed into a cinema showing blockbuster classics from the 1980s.

On Tuesday 16 December at 19:00, we’ll be screening E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982), Steven Spielberg’s iconic sci-fi adventure. The film will be shown as part of a day-long discussion event taking place at Kunsthal Aarhus.
On Wednesday 17 December at 16:30, we’ll be showing the horror comedy Gremlins (1984). Directed by Joe Dante, with Spielberg also involved as producer, the film premiered in Danish cinemas during Christmas that same year. With a new Gremlins film set for release in 2027, there’s every reason to revisit the original before the holidays.
