With the exhibition title Ooze, the three graduates explore the transition from the safe environment of the art academy into professional life - a slow, formative movement filled with curiosity, vulnerability, and courage. The works carry traces of earlier practices while stepping into new territories and questioning inherited structures.
Oozing out of the safety of the school, the artists find themselves at both culmination and threshold. The exhibition embraces this ambivalence: insistence, uncertainty, and momentum. What seeps out is not only material, but also intention, imagination, and belief in one’s own practice.
Ooze is curated by Seolhui Lee and created in collaboration with Det Jyske Kunstakademi.
The guided tour is a collaboration between Studenterhus Aarhus, Det Jyske Kunstakademi, and Kunsthal Aarhus.
