SPOR festival 2019

SPOR is an annual festival taking place each year in May in the city of Aarhus, Denmark. Next festival is taking place 09.05.–11.05.2019. This year Kunsthal Aarhus hosts an ”audio-video-installation” and a performance with the title EURYDIKE? volume 1, created by Helmut Oehring and his team.
SPOR's vision is to thematise, actualize and promote contemporary music and sound art, nationally as well as internationally. SPOR creates a platform for stronger connections to the international sound art and music scenes - and therefore fruitful exchange which can inspire artists and further develop the Danish contemporary music.

Helmut Oehring, Stefanie Wördemann & Torsten Ottersberg: EURYDIKE? volume 1

EURYDIKE? volume 1 is the first part of a double programme by Helmut Oehring and his team with a focus on isolated female perspectives in male dramas: Courage to hope in catastrophic darkness, in unwanted misfortune, soul paralysis, cultural nudity. Dirt.

The deaf dancer Kassandra Wedel, the violinist Emily Yabe and the guitarist Mia Carla Oehring performs EURYDIKE? It is snapshots shown as an audio-video installation with performance and dance, which in 2020/2021 will be continued in the audiovisual requiem EURYDIKE? ICH/SIE – I see . volume 2 – with soloists*.

The piece will open with a live performance on the 9th where Emily Yabe and Mia Carla Oehring performs live alongside the audio-video-installation.
